Dermato-endocrinology represents a bi-disciplinary approach that introduces a large area of medical issues requiring both endocrinologists and dermatologists. This Special Issue addresses various topics such as: estrogen receptors in melanoma, cutaneous manifestations of endocrine tumors and neuroendocrine neoplasia underlying various hormonal and genetic conditions, including familial syndromes. Also, thyroid pathology had been associated with different skin and hair follicle disorders such as vitiligo, lichen or alopecia. Insulin resistance as found in diabetes mellitus, acromegaly, androgen producing ovarian tumors and polycystic ovary syndrome may associate several dermatological signatures in terms of acanthosis nigricans. Hyperpigmentation may be a major clue in primary ovarian insufficiency or a cancer- related Cushing syndrome.
