- Dr. Esteban C Gabazza is Full Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Immunology, Mie University Faculty and Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. He is also Director of Mie University Center for Intractable Diseases, and Chair of the International Exchange Committee of the Mie University Faculty and Graduate School of Medicine. The focus of Dr. Gabazza’s research is on the mechanism of fibrotic, malignant and allergic diseases of the lung and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. He has received several grants from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan. He has been the Principal Investigator or co-investigator of more than 20 funded grants and has published over 270 papers.
