  • Dr. Ajmal Khan earned B.Sc from University of Malakand and M.Sc from University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He received Ph.D. in field of enzymology in 2013 from University of Karachi. During PhD, he received split PhD scholarship from OAED Austria, as visiting scientist in University of Innsbruck, under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr. DDDDr. h.c. Bernd Michael Rode (Institute of General, Inorganic and Theoretical Chemistry University of Innsbruck, Austria). Currently he is working as a Associate Professor in Natural and Medical Sciences Research Center, University of Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman and have established lab of Enzyme Inhibition and Computational Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Khan has expertise in Medicinal Chemistry, Enzyme inhibition and kinetics, STD NMR of protein-ligand interaction, Computational Chemistry, Nanomedicine, and Chemical and Bio-sensing. He has published more than 300 articles in international peer review journals with impact factor of more than 1200 and citation more than 6000. Besides this, he has four US patents, two of them published and the other two are filed up. He received several times Research Productivity Award from Pakistan Council of Science and Technology and two-time best poster award in international symposiums. He also got BEST YOUNG RESEARCHER AWARD 2016, from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan and 4 times Research Productivity Award from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan. Recently he got Best Researcher Award in the field of Scientific Research from University of Nizwa, Oman.
