His independent research career commenced in the College of Food Science and Technology at Nanjing Agricultural University in the same year. His expertise lies in areas such as Polysaccharides, Diabetes management, Cereals, Digestion, and gut microbiota modulation. With a prolific research output, he has authored over 40 academic papers and has taken on the role of guest editor for two journals.
