Dr. Covanțev graduated from State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu", Chisinau, Moldova. He then pursued a residency in general surgery at Botkin Hospital in Moscow, followed by a subspecialty in oncology, USG and plastic surgery. His key interests are multidisciplinary interactions and translational research. He is a reviewer for multiple reputed journals in the field of respiratory diseases, critical care, thoracic, general surgery and oncology.
