Short Bio

  • Dr. Sabya Sachi Das is an IRC Postdoctoral Researcher at the Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, Ireland, specialising in nanomedicine, biomaterials engineering, and targeted drug delivery systems. His research focuses on the development of nano-enabled therapeutic platforms, including nanoemulsions, polymeric and lipid nanocarriers, microneedles, scaffolds, and advanced hydrogel systems, to enhance drug solubility, bioavailability, and site-specific delivery for cancer, inflammatory, neurological, and dermatological disorders. He received his PhD in Pharmacy from the Birla Institute of Technology, India, and previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC, USA and the University of Iowa, IA, USA. Dr. Das has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications, 25 book chapters, and an edited book, accumulating more than 3,000 citations. He has been recognised among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (2023–2025) by Stanford University and Elsevier. His research is driven by a strong translational focus on advancing clinically relevant nanoengineered therapies.
