The authors wish to retract their research article entitled “Identification of circulating tumor cells with EML4-ALK translocation using fluorescence in situ hybridization in advanced ALK-positive patients with lung cancer”, published in Oncology Letters 15, 8959–8964, 2018. The authors did not seek permission from the physician who provided the clinical samples for the use of these clinical data in their study, and the physician does not agree with their inclusion in the article. As a result, the authors have decided to retract the article from the publication. All the named authors on the paper agree to this retraction. The authors sincerely apologize to the physician concerned, and for any inconvenience that might result from the retraction of this article.
