There has been considerable advancement in recent years in the research of biliary tract cancer screening, early diagnosis, and early therapy. Researchers have been working to create more effective screening strategies that can detect the early stages of the disease when it is still treatable. In addition, advances in imaging technology and biomarker testing have made it possible to diagnose the disease earlier, which can improve the chances of successful treatment. Treatment options have also enhanced, with new treatments and surgical techniques that can help to lengthen survival and improve quality of life for patients with biliary tract cancer. Despite these advancements, more research is still required to further improve screening, diagnosis, and treatment for this challenging disease.
