Adenomyosis is a common Gynecological problem in the modern era. The etiology and pathophysiology of this clinical entity is not completely clear. Adenomyosis is the cause for many abnormalities during the reproductive period and during pregnancy. It is an essential cause for infertility. In this special issue we will try to analyse the pathophysiology the molecular mechanisms that lead to gynecological problems and complications during pregnancy. In addition we will discuss the role of hysteroscopy for the diagnosis and management of this entity.
